Today, my group, in the absence of Jack, and with the addition of Maddie we created an accurate scale for our machine. Hopefully, with these measurements we will be able to successfully make our machine next lesson... Guess we'll just have to wait and find out!

Today, I would like to dedicate my blog entry to discussing the idea of exploring scientific extra-terrestrial intelligent life.

Throughout history people here on Earth have been obsessed with finding life outside our solar system. But for me, I immediately think, why are we trying to use science to explore things outside our universe when we should be prioritising our scientific resources to problems that need to be solved in this world? Sure, there may be some new and amazing scientific endeavours that have been made recently, such as the WOW signal and the Kepler Mission.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think it's great to explore new things, but for me space isn't the priority in this day and age, humanity is, and when our world is so out of balance within itself we need to search for solutions on earth, not trying to find so called 'intelligent life' on other planets, that are at least 34 light years away.

Today we once again reviewed various formulas that are vital to the understanding of physics. Once we were all sure that we could understand these concepts we split off into groups to create our own mini rue goldburg machine.

My group and I can up with quite a simple machine, however I feel that it will provide enough physics formulas for us to ensure that we understand all concepts that were introduced in previous classes.
