For the last few weeks we have bee fidling around with our model

we have been testing it in the creek and making it work it better

Today we looked at the ideas of how we could make our model

we looked at heaps of difference ideas and still have decided on what idea to use.

Today in class we looked at the new creative arts center and how it is energy efficient (obviously as tis is our subject for the term)

We found that they and designed so that they could transfer heat caught in the front bit of the building thought to the back of the building because of the way it has been designed. This will cut down the bill for heating.We also looked at the way it was positioned and the materials used to make it

Today we studied our own carbon emission using the carbon cops website and the Middle school building and how we could improve the carbon emissions of the middle school and the whole school.

We thought about how we could make Mr Dempsters office more comfortable for him.We thought of ideas such as planting some trees,double glazing the window,putting in shutters and a cover.

We then looked at the idea of being able to place solar panels onto some of the roofs of the school.We realised that we would have to put them on the north sides of buildings because  that is where the sun comes down the most but most of the buildings on this school site are on the heritage list which means that we cant change them.
