This Activities Day is overnight, departing TAS on Thursday afternoon for West Kunderang, right in the middle of the country you'll be walking in at the end of the year.
On the previous Tuesday, you'll be issued with your tent and backpack, and given some pointers on fitting your pack for maximum safety & comfort (there's a basic video linked here).
On arrival Thursday evening, set up your tent and cook your meal (you'll have food and recipes provided), and ready yourselves for the next day where we'll look at river crossing assessment and techniques, and recovery and rescue techniques.
Therefore, you will need a change of clothes, some old sandshoes or similar that you can get wet, a towel, a hat, and sunscreen as well as wet weather gear, a sleeping bag, water bottle, eating utensils and plate and cup.
