Activities Day 2 2010

Held at Kunderang West, we aimed to get some team building action happening, together with testing our new tents and packs (and cooking for ourselves)

Did very well too!

Here are some videos of the river crossing competition, the billy boiling competition and the stretcher making and carrying competition, followed by the world Tug of Four championships (Kunderang heats)

Just click on them to play

Activities Day 1 2010

This activity focused on safe cooking fire preparation, simple cooking, preparation of a meal without fire, navigation and radio procedure

Above and below: Tim Wheaton assists year 11 Pioneers support in the building of an antenna array for UHF and VHF communications

Below: Hanging around the fire at Blue Hole

Below: What if we have a total fire ban? How will we eat? We could use Cabbage, in wraps, with Mayo. (mmm... cabbage)

Below: Beginning the short course navigation

Thanks to all staff for their assistance

Activities Day 4

The Styx River forest was the centre of our activity.

There were some (ahem) geographical embarrassments which caused some of us to return late to TAS
Otherwise, a good day.
